Year 8 Light Up Their Learning

Year 8 students are busy at work here determining the energy contained in different foods.
 
Pupils measured the initial mass of food before setting it alight using a Bunsen burner. Each pair measured the difference in temperature of the water in the boiling tube, and the final mass of food after burning.
 
Students then calculated the energy content and compared their results to the known values on the food packaging. Great learning Year 8, well done!
