Sporting Highlights: A Fantastic Start to the Term!

Our Year 7 pupils recently showcased their skills in a thrilling netball match against Dallam School. It was a brilliant team effort, and the Player of the Match award went to Lucy, whose excellent defensive play was a standout performance. Special recognition also goes to Matthew, our Chinese Immersion student, who stepped onto the netball court for the very first time—what an achievement!
Meanwhile, on Monday, our Under 13 hockey team made Windermere proud with a fantastic performance. A big thank you to The Lakes School for hosting such a competitive and enjoyable fixture. Player of the Match was awarded to goalkeeper Jenny, who demonstrated incredible grit and skill in what has to be one of the toughest positions on the field. Jenny’s stellar performance has solidified her reputation as arguably the toughest goalie in the whole school!
Well done to all our players and teams involved. This term is already shaping up to be another fantastic one for sport at Windermere! Keep up the great work, everyone!
