Foraging for Fish: Crafting with Nature’s Beauty

7 October 2024

The Gardening and Foraging Club is buzzing with activity, and we’ve certainly made the most of last week’s beautiful dry, autumnal weather. The pupils got hands-on with a unique project—crafting fish on a rod using willow branches harvested right from our school garden. The results? Absolutely fantastic!

Not only did the students learn an exciting new skill, but they also tapped into their creativity and worked with a natural, sustainable material. It’s incredible to see their enthusiasm as they mastered this craft, turning simple willow into intricate works of art.

We’re so proud of the hard work they put in, and their creations truly showcase their growing connection to nature and the garden. What a rewarding and fun experience!
