Celebrating Chinese New Year: A Feast for the Year of the Snake
29 January 2025
Today, our Junior School was filled with joy, excitement and delicious aromas as pupils gathered to celebrate Chinese New Year and welcome the Year of the Snake. The festivities featured an incredible lunch prepared by our talented kitchen team, Jane and Loraine, who created a memorable dining experience filled with traditional flavours.
The menu showcased authentic dishes that delighted the senses, offering pupils a unique opportunity to taste the cultural richness of this special celebration. Fortune cookies added an extra touch of fun, sparking excitement as pupils cracked them open to reveal their fortunes.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the feast, and it was heart-warming to see their enthusiasm and appreciation for this thoughtful celebration.
A huge thank you to Jane and Loraine for the creativity, care, and effort they put into crafting meals that always bring joy to our school community. Your hard work never goes unnoticed, and today’s celebration was a true testament to your dedication.
We wish all our families a joyful and prosperous Lunar New Year!
