A Friday to Remember: Pyjamas, Caves, and Charity!
18 November 2024
Last Friday, 15 November, was an unforgettable day at our Junior School as our pupils embraced a cosy Pyjama Day in support of the BBC’s Children in Need appeal. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone came to school dressed in their comfiest onesies and pyjamas, adding a splash of fun and warmth to our day—all for a great cause!
The excitement didn’t stop at the classroom door. Year 4 had an adventurous trip to Rydal Caves, where they enjoyed a magical moment under candlelight, sipping hot chocolate and nibbling on delicious Pudsey Bear biscuits. The enchanting setting and the sweet treats made this an unforgettable outing!
Back at school, the day ended with a fantastic Movie Night, generously organised by the Friends of Windermere School. Pupils and staff alike delighted in movie-time favourite snacks, including popcorn, hotdogs, and a selection of Pudsey-themed cakes. It was a perfect way to round off an extraordinary Friday.
Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of our school community, we raised an incredible £600 for Children in Need! A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who participated, donated and helped create such a special day. Fridays don’t get much better than this!
