Year 7 Adventure
4 December 2020
Cold, snowy weather does not stop Team Windermere Adventure. Our fabulous Lake District weather throws all sorts of challenges at us and today was no exception.
We want all Windermere students to be able to cope, and even enjoy, Adventure activities in all weather conditions. There is nothing as exhilarating as biking with stingingly, cold rain in your face or as beautiful as kayaking on flat calm water while looking at snowy, misty hills. Learning to embrace bad weather is very much about mindset and being determined to make the most of every opportunity.
Our Year 7 students were warm as toast in all their layers today and showed that you can learn as much when it is freezing cold and wet as when you are warm and dry. Well done Year 7!
