Year 1 and 2 Forest School
3 November 2020
Following the weekend’s stormy weather, Years 1 and 2 headed out into the grounds to explore the effect that so much rain has on the environment.
Whilst hunting for puddles and flooding they discussed interesting words to describe the way the water had reacted with the ground, such as ‘saturated’ and ‘absorbed’.
The children were then put in teams and challenged to build a dam to stop the flow of water and explain why they chose to use certain materials.
