Adventure-Filled CAS Afternoon for our Sixth Form Students
6 March 2025
Each Wednesday afternoon, our Sixth Form students dive into Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) as part of their International Baccalaureate programme. CAS provides them with the freedom to choose activities that challenge them physically, mentally, and socially. This week, adventure was at the heart of our students’ experiences!
We had some students on the lake doing the RYA Powerboat Level 2 award. Meanwhile, the Johnson siblings were keen to go climbing outdoors, and as always, Aneesh— who says yes to everything—was ready to take on any challenge that came his way!
With March’s unpredictable weather and a south-westerly breeze, our options felt limited. However, Scout Scar presented a fantastic opportunity, with trees giving us protection from the wind and being west facing any afternoon sunshine helping to warm our chilly fingers. This venue demands respect and skill. Oscar J capably leading, the group ascended the climbs well. I still remember the Johnson siblings from their earliest years in our Junior School, it really is so special watching students develop during their time at Windermere.
