Celebrating Our Young Athletes’ Achievements!
1 November 2024
As we ended the first half term, we were thrilled to celebrate the success of seven incredible Year 7 pupils who represented our school at the Year 7 Cross Country Championships. Competing among over 300 other runners, these young athletes displayed remarkable determination and sportsmanship in a large, challenging field. Special congratulations to Algy, who achieved an impressive 39th place out of 163 boys! A huge well done to all for their effort and enthusiasm—we can’t wait to see how you continue to shine this year!
It’s been a wonderfully active start to the academic year here at Windermere School. Just eight weeks in, more than 65% of our pupils have represented the school in various sporting fixtures, with an astounding 87% of our Year 7 cohort getting involved. This level of participation speaks volumes about the enthusiasm and dedication of our pupils and staff alike. The energy around school has been truly contagious, and we’re excited to see what’s in store next as our PE department leads us into an action-packed year ahead.
Here’s to continued teamwork, personal bests and the amazing sportsmanship that make our school so proud!
