Year 12 Research Trip for their Theory of Knowledge Exhibition
6 March 2024
Year 12 IB students recently visited Kendal to research ideas for their Theory of Knowledge Exhibition. They enjoyed a town tour from the Civic Society, as well as workshops and talks at Kendal Museum and the Quaker Tapestry. They learned about the skills involved in curation to prepare them for hosting their own Exhibition, and enjoyed talks on topics as diverse as the ethics of displaying mummified remains, and the history of Quakerism. They were particularly grateful for the opportunity to meet and talk with local Quakers and learn more about their faith, and loved the challenge of designing their own Quaker Tapestry panel.
Many thanks to the Civic Society, Kendal Museum and the Quaker Tapestry for hosting us and offering such brilliant tours, talks and workshops.
Many of the students have chosen objects from the trip for their upcoming Theory of Knowledge Exhibition, which takes place on Wednesday 13 March at 6pm. Please join us if you can!
