Literature students visit Haworth
1 February 2023
At the weekend, our Year 12 and 13 Literature students visited Haworth, home of the Brontë family.
They enjoyed some fascinating talks on the lives of the Brontës and on critical approaches to ‘Jane Eyre’ and ‘Wuthering Heights’. They also explored the moors made famous in these novels, and experienced the Victorian pastimes of reading and parlour games!
We’re very grateful to the Bronte Parsonage Museum for accommodating a school trip in January, and to 92-year-old Jean for hosting us at the wonderful and eccentric Currer Laithe Farm.
